Visa Application Process / Information You Need to Know When Applying for a Slovenia Visa
Visa application documents include:
– Original passport, valid for at least 6 months and with at least two blank pages for visa stickers
– Appointment appointment interview
– Slovenian visa application
– Card photo 4 x 6cm, white background, photo taken no more than 6 months
– ID card
– Household registration book (copy of originals, notarization of all pages with information)
– Certificate of marital status: Certificate of marriage / Divorce / single (copy of original)
– If you are a business owner: Business registration certificate, tax receipt, and statement of the company’s account for the last 3 months
– If you are an employee: Labor contract or appointment decision, salary list for the last 3 months, application for travel leave (certified by the company)
– If you are a child under the age of 18: Parents’ consent to travel, a copy of the parent’s passport or identity card, the applicant’s birth certificate, student certificate / card student, application for absence from school (certified by the school)
– If retired: Retirement decision, retirement book / pension confirmation
– Documents proving financial: Savings book or bank account statement with balance as of now> 100 million VND, ownership papers of real estate, vehicles, stocks, …
– Detailed travel schedule
– Round trip ticket booking
– Hotel booking
– Global travel insurance
Visa processing time:
The usual visa processing time is 15 days, but it can take up to 30 days if the application needs further verification. In special cases, verification can take up to 2 months. If it is your first time applying for a Schengen visa, you should apply early to ensure your departure on schedule.
Note :
– All the above-mentioned documents must be translated into English synchronously and notarized locally before submitting to the Slovenian consulate. One original and one translation is required when submitted.
– In case you are only traveling (or working / visiting relatives) in Slovenia, you should apply for a visa at the embassy of this country. However, if you want to enter many Schengen countries, you will need to apply for a visa in the country you will be entering first or the country with the longest stay in the block.
– Slovenia does not have an embassy in Vietnam. Currently, the Dutch Consulate in Vietnam, on behalf of Slovenia, is issuing short-term Schengen visas to Vietnamese citizens in Ho Chi Minh City. Also in Hanoi, the application for a visa to Slovenia will be processed by the Embassy of Hungary.
