Visa Application Process / Information You Need to Know When Applying for a France Visa
Visa application documents include:
– Schengen visa application form: clear, date and sign
– 01 photo card that meets the following criteria: photo taken from the front of the applicant, taken from the front, taken near the time of application, the person in the picture is the same as the real person, the size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm colors on solid white backgrounds (colored backgrounds are not acceptable), bare heads.
– Valid passport, issued no more than 10 years, valid for at least three months after the date of departure from the territories of Shengen member countries, with at least 2 blank pages remaining: Submit the original and photocopies of all pages information and bookmarked pages (if any).
– Household registration book: Submit the original and photocopie.
– Application fee: paid in cash in VND equivalent to 60 Euros.
– Proof that the applicant has financial capacity to cover the expenses of the trip in the Schengen area: bank statement for the last 3 months, certificate of account balance, savings book, voucher salary for the last 3 months, confirm the salary of the employer (original + copy).
– Proof of professional status.
– A 2-way return flight booking confirmation between Vietnam and France, issued by a travel company (original and copy).
– Trip schedule, clearly stating the date of arrival, date of departure, number of days of stay in each country and purpose of the trip.
Visa processing time:
The processing time for a Schengen visa is usually 15 days, possibly up to 30 days if the application needs to be verified further.
Note :
– Visa applicants must legally reside in Vietnam.
– Visa application must be submitted at least 3 months or at least 15 days before the intended date of departure.
– The biological data (10 fingerprints and digital photo) are obtained at the time of submission.
– The incomplete application may lead to the decision to refuse a visa. However, providing sufficient documents does not automatically guarantee a visa will be granted.
– When necessary, the applicant can be invited to an interview and required to provide additional documents.
– All documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by a valid translation (notarized by the judicial office) into French or English.
– The submitted papers must be accompanied by copies (photocopy). A copy will be duly signed when submitting the original. The visa office only keeps a copy. The original is immediately returned to the customer.
– Copies must be A4 size.
– Do not accept text as fax or e-mail.
