Visa Application Process / Information You Need to Know When Applying for a South Africa Visa
Visa application documents include:
1. Proof of identity:
– Application for tourist visa
– Original passport signed by the person named in the passport (valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of departure)
– 2 photos 3 * 4cm, white background, taken no later than 3 months
– Household registration book copied within the last 3 months
– Notarized copy of Marriage registration (if traveling with spouse)
2. Proof of work:
– If you are an officer or employee in the company:
Copy of the labor contract or the decision to appoint a title (may be stamped by the company, the managing agency)
Application for leave to travel
– If you are the business owner, the capital contributing shareholder is named in the business registration of the company:
+ Copy business registration certificate
+ Copy of tax confirmation
– If you are a retired person:
Retirement decision or pension receipt
– If you are a student / student:
Certificate of absence from school certified
3. Proof of finance:
– Bank account statement for the last 3 months
– A copy of savings book (worth at least 120,000,000 VND)
– Original bank certificate of savings book balance
4. Trip records:
– Travelling schedule
– Confirm 2-way flight booking
– Confirm hotel booking
Visa processing time:
– If filing at the Consulate of South Africa – City. In Ho Chi Minh City, the time to apply for a South Africa visa is usually within 14 working days (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
– If submitted at the Embassy of South Africa – Hanoi, the processing time will be faster, only takes 7 working days.
Note :
– In case you want to withdraw your passport while waiting for a visa, all paid fees will not be refunded and all information about the visa application will be canceled.
– If you want to continue to apply for a South African tourist visa, you must prepare all the papers and wait for approval within 7-14 days from the time of submitting the new application.
– You must prepare the above documents, notarized translation of all documents (except passports and bilingual documents)
– The declaration contains information in English and Vietnamese, but only in English, using capital letters, black ink and ball pen and fully declared as required.
– Fees are paid in VND and will not be refunded regardless of whether a visa to South Africa is granted or not.
