Visa Application Process / Information You Need to Know When Applying for a Japan Visa

Visa application documents include:

– Passport: Ensure a valid passport from 6 months or more.
– Visa application form: The Japanese tourist visa application package should be done carefully and fully with the basic documents including: visa application form, travel and stay schedule, employment confirmation (write in English) and certified leave of absence from the company you are working for.
– Photo: ID card size 4.5 x 4.5 was taken within the last 6 months and full name is written on back side.
– Profile proving financial ability.
– A savings book with your name is worth 100 million dong or more.
– Copy of labor contract.
– Your leave application certified by the company where you are working.
– Schedule of staying.

Visa processing time:

At the Embassy of Japan, you can receive the results of a Japanese tourist visa 8 days after the application date (there are cases that require more review time).
For those who apply for a visa at the Consulate General of Japan, the time to receive the result will be earlier, ranging in about 5 days (or longer depending on the case).

Note :

– You will not be returned to the submitted documents. If there are documents that need to be returned, notice must be given before applying.
– Faxed or postal applications will not be accepted.
– During some peak, sensitive periods or your profile is not clear, the Embassy will ask you to go to a short interview to clarify information.
